The teacher deserves a huge shout out for engaging his students in current events and encouraging them to see how they can apply it to their daily lives. Something as simple as the young girl about to give up on catching her bus but then saying 'Yes I can' and running to get it so she could make it to school that day. Or the students learning about the geography of the country so that they now know where all the fifty states are. And most important of all, to have big dreams, to realize that yes, they can become successful people. What a great teacher to give his students that gift of hope. If only all teachers would give their students the assignment to think about and speak about all the things they CAN be.
It is so inspiring to hear these young people gain the confidence to say "Yes I can!" and "Yes We Can!" Barack's influence is already being felt, and it is changing people's lives.
